The 10 artists taking part in the third semester of Merseyrail Sound Station have been revealed. Representing a variety of genres, the musicians taking part in the development programme will benefit from a suite of activity designed to help them with their craft and further their career in music.
The semester begins with studio workshops and culminates in a live showcase at Liverpool Central train station on Friday 26th July. Along the way artists will receive an artist masterclass from Becky Hawley of Heavenly Recordings artists Stealing Sheep and get direct advice from a panel of industry experts at a series of seminars at the M&S Bank Arena.
Included in the cohort of artist is singer songwriter Ben Burke, who recently played to 50,000 football fans as part of the Boss Night fan park in Madrid during Liverpool’s triumphant Champions League exploits. Joining Ben will be Eggy Records artist Ana Mae, fast rising local band Gen and the Degenerates and Wirral-based bedroom producer Borth.
