As you may already know, I am a music industry mentor on the Merseyrail Sound Station artist development programme. I am delighted to share the details of the 12 artists taking part in semester two.

The programme put out an open call-out in November, and the response was incredible, showing the a real cross-section of the talent this city has to offer. A diverse cohort of artists has been selected and they begin the second round of Merseyrail Sound Station later this month. Among them we have folk singers, rappers, producers and indie bands.

The 12 artists have been assigned mentors (one of them being me) and will go through a series of workshops and sessions before performing live at Liverpool Central station on Friday 28th March. You can track the progress of the project across Merseyrail Soundstation social channels.

The artists taking part in semester two of Merseyrail Sound Station are:

Pale Rider

Wild Fruit Art Collective

Rachael Jean Harris

The Indica Gallery

Jazmine Johnson

Munkey Junkey

Eli Smart

Salt The Snail

Cosmic Shepherd

Go to the artists section of the Soundstation website to find out more information.

A call-out for artists to take part in semester three will roll out in April.
